Mother's Union

Mothers Union is a Christian mission charity organisation that seeks to support families throughout the world, in over 80 countries, 4 million members share a vision to bring about a world where God's love is shown through loving, respectful and flourishing relationships.

Our activities are undertaken by members who reach out to others and support each other; and work together to transform communities through programs campaigning for social justice, they recognize the values of stable family life. MU run parenting groups, help with prison ministry, community health education, they strive to create change for families and communities. Members are driven by their faith and prayers, but work with people of all faiths and none, They enjoy the friendship and fellowship of meeting together to support each other, to pray and to socialise.

At St Michaels' district branch there are a few dedicated older people, we do need to recruit younger members, or those of mid years (you don't have to be a mother or a woman to join, the only criteria is to be baptised) anyone interested in becoming a member needs to make contact with the branch leader Janet Pocklington.

We usually meet on the first Thursday of each month in the Church Centre at 2pm.

Future meetings this year include speakers, a quiet day, Advent service, Carol service and Christmas Meal.
